Neuroscience of Meditation
Week 8
Who is it for?
The Brain Power Series is a weekly series of online neuroscience workshops available to all NSW based startups, scaleups, sole traders, freelancers and small businesses.
Workshop Description
Meditation is an ancient practice dating back centuries. Meditation, and its popularised modern application of Mindfulness has surged in prominence over the last decade, not only in a cultural sense but also a clinical one. Unpacking the Neuroscience of this ancient practice, Vitae’s Neuroscience of Meditation online workshop will share the impact this ancient practice can have on cognitive, and thereby thoughts, actions, behaviours and outcomes.
This workshop will cover:
neuroscience of meditation
cognitive and structural neurological changes meditation can produce
the cognitive impact meditation can have on individual behaviour and performance
how meditation influences organisational culture and performance
By the end of this 45-minute online workshop, attendees will have a clear neurological understanding of how this ancient practice can help improve cognition, performance and overall well being.
Like all NSW supported, and Vitae delivered workshops, we provide digital workbooks to all attendees containing all the neurotools, hacks and frameworks covered in each session. This workshop is delivered digitally by Vitae’s CEO and Co-Founder, Shelley Laslett.
